Emerson's Rosemount™ Wireless Corrosion and Erosion Transmitters are engineered with innovative and proven corrosion and erosion monitoring technology for enhanced profitability in industrial settings. These transmitters combine non-intrusive, permanently installed ultrasonic sensors with wireless communication to provide continuous, accurate wall thickness measurements in extreme temperatures and remote locations. This comprehensive solution enables asset and integrity managers to make better-informed decisions about maintenance, replacement, and process optimization, even in hazardous areas, without the need for expensive cabling or frequent manual inspections.
Rosemount Wireless UT Transmitters are permanently installed, non-intrusive devices that monitor the direct wall thickness of your asset. They observe the metal loss of your asset at the installation point to help understand if corrosion or erosion is damaging your process. These transmitters then capture the ultrasonic signal for that point and transmit it wirelessly using WirelessHART® protocol. The data is received by the data management software where patented signal processing will calculate ‘time of flight’ of the ultrasound to calculate a thickness for that measurement point. Emerson’s Plantweb Insight™ Non-Intrusive Corrosion Application provides various data visualizations to help aid in the decision-making process around how to manage corrosion or erosion damage in your facility.
EMAT Technology induces ultrasonic waves in the metal that is being measured by using fluctuating magnetic fields, which occur due to the magnets in the transmitter and the metal being measured.
Measure through material external coatings due to the EMAT technology’s ultrasonic waves induced into the target material, avoiding the need to remove protective coatings from assets, which helps mitigate the risk of external corrosion
Install or relocate Rosemount ET210, ET310, ET310C, or ET410 Corrosion and Erosion Transmitters quickly and easily using straps to secure to pipes, or for larger tanks and vessels, the Magnetic Vessel Mount provides an alternative quick and easy solution
Waveguide Technology generates ultrasonic waves in the transmitter, which travel down the waveguide to the measurement location where echoes are received. These echoes help to determine the thickness of the pipe wall.
